Process
The process of the Panama hats are the same since the Colombia´s Colony. They are handmade in natural fibers and natural colors using the same Indians´s technique.
These process began, cutting the Toquilla Palm, contiue cleanning, washing, cooking and finish chosing the threads to woven the Hats, depending of the quality.
After to dry the fiber, the weavers procedd to weave the hats.
The technique, you see in the pictures is the same technique used by the Indians before 1.492. The European styles began in 1.865.
